Hi, today is February 9, 2011. When we came in this morning, we unpacked our stuff, and started to work on word of the day and calendar math. At 9:04, we went down to music. We continued to go over the “Bullies Anonymous” script. We ran through lines and songs until it was time to go at 9:45. We came back and finished up calendar math, and did a check-up quiz for adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing decimals. Then we had break. After break, we did science. We went through pages 19, 23, 24, & 26-29. One of the questions on p 23 described a sand sample, and had you infer its source, how long it was moved, and anything else you might be able to guess about the sand sample, based on the description. Lunch time rolled around, and we all went outside.
When we came back from lunch, we played “Chaos in the Canyon”! We did the equivalent of 1 day. At about 1:40, we stopped and worked on Amelia Earhart and color poems. Then 2:00 came and we packed up and left. Here’s the homework for tonight:
