Good morning! Today is a beautiful sunny day! So in class today we came in and unpacked our stuff. Then we did calendar math and our word of the day. We don’t have specialists today so we had to work on math until it was time to head to the computer lab. When we got into the computer lab it was soooo hot! It felt like 100 degrees! So in computer lab we finished up our bridge to Terabithia essay and we did that up until it was break time. But in computer lab we were loud and wasted five minutes so we had to stay in our seats and do math until we used up our five minutes then we had a five minute break.
At break we had snack and had a short talk with friends. Then we did math for a little while again because we have a lot to catch up on. Mr. Steele was telling us that we need to do extra math to get good at division so we can figure out the new math. We are having some problems with multiplication and long division so we need to work on that so we are doing a lot now in math. But then after that we did science. The groups that had not finished the science on the microscopes finished that. By the time we finished that it was time for lunch.
At recess today we got to play capture the flag outside with Mr. Steele and Mrs. Malloy’s class. It was really, really fun! We had some problems with some mild cheating and it was hard to tell who was on whose team because our classes were mixed up. When we got back from lunch and recess we did social studies. We talked about government and laws in the olden days. So we did a paper for social studies and then that was all. Then we moved onto Houghton Mifflin. We read a story called “Climb or die” by Edward Myers. Then we got a packet for the story. But we read 1 and a half of a scene in Hamlet and then we got to work on our packet for the story. Then it was time to do jobs and pack stack and vac.
