Day 56 - Snowy day

This morning was a chilly, snowy day. Almost everyone was in bug puffy jackets with boots and gloves. Most people woke up this morning to see a white yard and nice snow falling gently to the ground. Same with while we were at school! When we opened up our binders and started calendar math the snow kept on coming! A lot of people were gone today due to vacations. So we had music today. At 9:04 we went down the hall to the music room. In music we did some reading on a composer, Mozart. We did the small little test after it too. We also did a game called drop the needle. Mrs. Frank would play a song and we had to try to guess what composer, composed it. When it was 9:45 we had to go back to our class. When we got back we finished up the daily math. Then we got a math test. The math test took up time until it was break.

At break we met up with all of our friends. Some people were talking about the snow and how excited they were about it. When it was 11:10 we sat down and had snack. Some people went over their test and others finished up the test. Then at 11:30 we started science. In science today we were going to do some plant transpiration and go get a plant from outside, but since it is snowing we are just doing some reading. We read three pages in the science book. We read for about 40 minutes. Then it was time to go to recess and lunch.

When we got back from lunch we did social studies. We got in groups of four and then we did an assignment. We had to draw sort of a picture about the land features of a certain area. Then we did language arts. In language arts we did some work on our homework from over the weekend. When we finished talking about it, we read a story out of Houghton Mifflin. The story was called “Alone, against the sea” Then we wrote down some notes
